| 1930 | Summer | Nests of this species were found in several localities; the earliest, in which a bird was incubating, on May 21st, near Shakopee (Leander Fischer). AMong the other nests reported was one at Robbinsdale, June 25th (Marius Morse), and one at Frontenac on June 21st, also containing young (Alden Risser). | ||

| 1933 | Summer | Ten nests wore seen, but few were investigated. Birds were seen excavating on May 26th by Hiononz, St. Cloud. Nests with incubating birds were observed on May 20th ( v.ri ter) and Hay 26th (Hierlenz), but further investigations of the nests were not nude. Cummings reports a noat vrith 5 soall young at Red '\'Jing on June 1oth, and Grines found a nest en Juno 21st in Pcnnll1gton County which hold 3 sr~ young. | ||
| 1934 | Summer | The first nests of this flycatching, borry-pickine, egg-eating knnve were reported from St. Cloud. Hanson and Hicnenz reported "several nests" for May 16th. Mr. ond Mrs. Swec1onbore found the latest nest on July 1st, when it contained snall young. Hiat1onz observed sran.ll young out of the nest ~ich were still being fed, on Augus~ 22nd near St. Cloud. | ||
| 1935 | Summer | At Coon Creek, Anoka County, a Red-hec.d·.. · chiselled c. nest hole in a red oak stub. When erickson ca.tle along July 5th there wore 4 young almost ready to leave the nest. Ten dnys later, July 15th, Prosser watched another Anoka County Red-houd feeding young in a nest at Johnsville. Leander Fischer and Turner saw a bird of this species enter a nest hole June 15th at Linwood Lake. I:n the srune locality on July 2nd, Prosser found a Yelliw-bclJ.y to be feeding· youn~ in tho nest·. · # -\ | ||
| 1936 | Summer | On July 5th a nest of small young was found by E. D. Swedenborg near Hinneapolis; on the some date he observed young just out of the nest. llll'se~ Peterson at Madison reported ~·oung just out of the nest on July 11th. YELLQW=BELLIED SAPSUCKER Kenneth Carlander located a nest with eggs in Itasca State Park on May 3oth. Robert Upson, on June 24th, found u nest of young. A record from Thompson at.'.Aurora. reports found young out of nest on June 28th. | ||
